The members of St. Rita's Sisterhood would like to share their 2001 accomplishments and thank you for your support financially, spiritually and physically. With our parishioner's help we were able to do the following:
- We hold monthly meetings on the second Saturday of the month and a mass is followed. These consist of gatherings to get to know each other, to pray for the sick, the dearly departed and for whoever requests our prayers.
- We purchased the nativity set. A gift of love from grandmothers and mothers for their future generation. Total cost was $6,544.56.
- We held bake and food sale to help purchase the set, in addition to receiving generous donations from parishioners. We were able to get $990.00 in net profit on our bake sale that was held on
11-11-01.
- We were active by working with various goups such as the American Lebanese-Syrian ladies club. They held a Bingo Night to raise money for the SOS Children Orphanages in Lebanon. They were able to send $4,300.00 to Lebanon before Christmas.
- We send $400.00 to help support the "Tete Blanche" Organization for lonely Senior Citizens in Lebanon.
- We baked home made Maamoul which were sold along with candles on Palm Sunday. This generated a net proft of $2,350.84 to be applied towards the purchase of the Nativity set. (We are trying to keep the tradition going).
- We were in charge of the Hospitality Room during the NAM Convention in February 2001.
- We decorate the church every Sunday and during the Holidays.
