
Congratulations on your upcoming marriagel as an aid to your preparation process and wedding celebration we ask you to read through the following quidelines. If you have any quesion, please feel free to bring them with you to the next meeting.
P R E P A R A T I O N
Arrangements for your wedding are to made NO LESS THAN 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE of a suggested wedding date.
— Wedding are celebrated:
Fridays: 1:00 to 8:00 pm.
Saturdays: 10:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Weddings may be celebrated also on weeknights as well.
(P.S: You do not have to have the Eucharist with your wedding).
— The couple or celebrant have the right to cancel or postpone the wedding for just reason.
— License
The couple is to obtain the marriage license from the City Hall. Please bring it to the parish office one week before the wedding.
— Marriage Paperwork
The basic requirements for marriage in our Diocese include:
† Marriage Preparation course sanctioned by the pastor.
† Pre_Marital Testing.
† Furnish parish office with copies of Baptismal and Confirmation Certificates and
Freedom to marry (issued within 6 months of the wedding date)
† Completion of other forms as necessary.
— Catholics are to have been confirmed before being admitted to the Sacramental of Marriage.
— The couple are to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) prior to the wedding.
— A relative or a friend priest is able to witness marriages at St. Maron's. Wedding ceremony may be concelebrated by other priests that you wish to invite.
— Banns of marriage will be published in the parish bulletin three times prior to the wedding.
— A donation to the church is suggested ($75 minimun).
— Fees for musicians must be set with them.
— A stole fee to the priest is suggested (1% of wedding cost).

CEREMONY
— The Wedding is to begin on time.
— The dresses of the bride and her maids must be very modest.Remember, this is God's Temple.
— During the wedding ceremony, ONLY APPROPRIATE SACRED MUSIC is permitted. Please approve your music with the pastor before hand.
— Photography in church must not distract the ceremony. FLASH PICTURES MAY BE TAKEN ONLY DURING THE PROCESSIONAL AND RECESSIONAL. Pictures may be taken before or after the wedding.
— Use of video equipment is restricted to designated area in the church. NO VIDEO OR PICTURES ARE TO BE TAKEN FROM THE ALTAR AREA.
— Arrangements for videotaping must be made with the priest prior to the wedding.
— Please reduce unnecessary talk and commotion in the church before and after the ceremony.
— No rice, Confetti, bird seed may be thrown on church property.
— No alcohol is permitted around, including the parking lot.
— Your ushers are responsible for cleaning up the church: the brides room, remove trash, collect books and vacuum carpet.
— On Saturdays, all wedding-related activities must cease by 3:00 pm.
— Floral arrangements should be discussed with the priest.
† Ordinarily, flower arrangements brought into the church remain for the weekend liturgies.
— If you choose to print a ceremony program, please have the priest review it for accuracy.
— Be sure to register in the parish as husband and wife soon after your wedding.
