St. Ephrem Academy

is still accepting enrollments for the 2008-2009 school year. The Academy is also initiating the “6 to 6 program” . This program offers before and after school care for those students who need to be dropped off early and / or picked up late after school.

The National Maronite Youth Office is offering a Youth Conference in Washington D.C. from July 15 through July 20

The 45 th Annual Maronite Convention:

held this year in Somerset , New Jersey from July 2 through July 6. Forms and information available in the foyer.

Abouna Nabil would like all parishioners to bring the following food staples from your homes to the church for blessing on the remaining Sundays in June:

• The 22nd / grains
• The 29th / bread and yeast

The blessings will take place after the conclusion of each 9:30AM and 11:00 AM Divine Liturgy during the month of June.

The reason for the blessings is that, as stated by Abouna, we may be facing food shortages under the present economy and it would be beneficial to us to bless our food staples.
