St Ephrem Mariam Mother of Life Shrine is blessed to be home to a uniquely meaningful memorial "Memorial for the Unborn". This newly created memorial remembers and gives honor to all those babies who were lost before they were born. The intricate stone sculpture represents the child in the womb cradled in God's Hands. It bears witness to the forgotten person and acknowledges that the unborn child is indeed a person who must be remembered.

The Memorial is a fountain of sorts. The water streams, which would normally dance with joyful life are only allowed to drip, signifying the tears of sorrow that accompany the loss of life. The Memorial is part of Mariam Mother of Life Shrine and is located in "Our Lady's Mary's Flower Garden" adjacent to the Shrine. It is a place for family members to come and mourn what could have been. Even more, it is a place of hope to reflect on the comfort, healing and forgiveness that come from God. The Memorial carved from Onyx stone, also represent the living stones of the Church.. all those who bear witness and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. It stands for all who are engaged in the battle to end abortion and is a place to pray for pro-life intentions.
